DDCA Christmas Blog

It’s amazing how quickly time flies, isn’t it? It doesn’t seem like it’s been two minutes since we were sending our best wishes for Christmas 2013 yet here we are again, polishing off our best Christmas cracker jokes and singing along to Last Christmas like nobody is watching.

We don’t mind that Christmas is upon us again already though, because not only will we soon be stuffing our faces with more candy canes and puddings than even Santa could handle, but the end of 2014 also gives us a chance to reflect on the year that we’re leaving behind and, boy, has it been a fantastic year at DDCA.

It’s certainly been a year of huge change, with the DDCA team expanding like never before. Since this time last year we’ve welcomed a new Account Director, Debbie, two new Account Executives, Chloe and Briony, and we’ve brought in Mark to be our dedicated copywriter. As well as those fantastic new appointments, our very own Emily has gone full time in order to take the reins of the agency’s personal brand and communications.

Of course none of this growth would be possible without our wonderful clients, partners, and everyone else we’ve had the pleasure of working with. To you, we’d like to say a huge thank you! It’s been a pleasure working with each and every one of you, and it’s because of you that we’ve had such a jam-packed year of exciting projects.

Over the last twelve months alone we’ve overseen the rebranding and opening of the Assembly Rooms’ ground floor venue, Bonbar, helped take the Lakes Distillery’s delicious range of spirits to shelves across the country and helped Homes by Esh to reach more people than ever with a newly built website and redesigned brochures for its new developments.

On top of all that we’ve also been helping to give back to the community, supporting the North East branch of the CoderDojo, teaching youngsters the increasingly important skill in Newcastle’s Centre for Life and Gateshead’s Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. We’ve also continued to strengthen our relationship with Winns Solicitors, getting behind their sponsorship of the Ashington, Spanish City and Ponteland Triathlons and the Castles Challenge.

On the festive side of fitness, we developed the branding and website for this year’s Elf Run, which saw hundreds of youngsters in fancy dress running through Eldon Square and the Metro Centre, raising much-needed funds for local charities such as The Sick Children’s Trust and CHUF, the Children’s Heart Unit Fund.

With 2015 fast approaching, we’re already looking forward to getting started on some exciting new client work and services! We can’t say too much at the moment but there are some very exciting times ahead which you’ll be able to read about very soon.

For today though, we shall leave you to enjoy the best of the season with your loved ones and friends. From everyone at DDCA: we wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy, and prosperous, New Year!
